A great dad

So my awesome husband decided to give Madeline her very own soccer field in the backyard so she could practice. She LOVES it!! The white lines don't seem to mean very much to her when she has the ball.....but she's having fun so who cares, right?

Boo at the Zoo

Saturday also marked the trip back to Boo at the Zoo! We LOVE Boo at the Zoo!!! We pay WAY too much for tickets and wait WAY to long in the car just to park...BUT it is always worth it. Madeline gets to wear her expensive costume more than once, we see some cute animals and some cute shows, we all eat too much candy, and we get to enjoy seeing a bunch of other kiddos in their cute costumes!!! The FW zoo does a great job putting on this event and we always have a good time. It is hard to believe next year we will have a 6 month old along for the ride!!!

Madeline's adventures in sports

First she tries soccer. She hates wearing shin guards and HATES taking the ball from other kids. This might not work......she runs her heart out during the games, but refuses to interact with the ball. She did have a breakthrough last week when she actually scored a goal!!!! We will have to see if we will continue with this soccer business.

Next she does cheerleading. She went to a cheer camp this Saturday and had a blast!! She told Troy and I we needed to go wait for her in the car! (excuse me?) She was so cute doing the cheers and the dance. She didn't quite hit the mark with the movements, but she IS only 4 :) The point is she had a great time and she gets to go out on the field at this Friday's football game and cheer with the cheerleaders. Needless to say she is very excited about this and told us we have to wait for the game to see her cheers! (excuse me?)

Trip to the pumpkin patch

A couple weeks ago we went on our annual trip to the Flower Mound pumpkin patch. Complete with a ton of pumpkins, a hayride, a train ride, inflatables, picture opportunites, and a hay maze. Madeline had a blast. We went with Troy's parents and neice and nephew, who were down for the weekend. They did everything!!! She really got into the hay maze this year, which she hated last year. She was also all about the inflatables which she ran from last year! What a difference a year makes...... we took lots of pics and picked out several pumpkins. A good time was had by all. It was muddy and we were in my brand new tahoe but what can you do?

Madeline's first dentist appt

Ok so a couple months ago Maddy went to her first dentist appt so here is the scoop:

She was very nervous but the DA's made her feel comfortable right away. They put these sunglasses on her while they cleaned her teeth! They had cute names for all the tools and she did really well. She didn't like taking the x-rays very much...but come on! who does? Anyway, the appt went well. They said she had beautiful teeth and that we needed to start using big girl toothpaste and floss a couple times a week. She got the expected cheapy toy and we were on our way! She goes back in February.....we wonder how that will go......
