Madeline's Christmas Program

Madeline's school put on a Christmas program last Thursday and they did a great job. Madeline played a "child in pajamas singing by the fire." She did so good singing and doing all the movements that went along with the lyrics. We were very impressed by our little girl!!! She refused to tell us any details about the program before the big day so we didn't know what to expect. At the end of the program, she went down to the front of the stage and was responsible for holding up the letter "I" in "Happy Birthday Jesus." It was so cute and she held it up with pride. Afterward she took her bow and we went to CiCi's to celebrate a job well done. Maybe next year she will get a speaking part.....hahaha.

(I apologize for the pics...they are from my camera phone)

An Early Christmas Present

Troy surprised me with a new kitchen sink last week. I've had my eye on this sink for a while now and we were finally able to get it and I LOVE IT!!!! It really adds a little something extra to the kitchen and he did a great job putting it in all by himself. My hubby is so handy ;)

Miami

Our trip to Miami was interesting to say the least. We got off to a rocky start but enjoyed our little mini vacation anyway! The worst part was we lost our camera on the very last day and so went all of our pictures of our adventures :(

The few we have were taken from my camera phone. While we were in Miami we had the chance to visit Southbeach, play in the sand, go to a Miami Hurricane football game, and go to this place called Bayside. We ate lunch by the water and took a boat ride around the bay where we saw some famous people's houses. It was a lot of fun and we have some good memories if not pictures! Madeline really loved the plane ride and had to fight with Troy over the window seat both down there and back. Overall we had a great time and the wierd part is this will be the last trip Madeline takes as an only child. Next time we pack up and go somewhere.....we will have two kiddos!!!

Baby Burnett

Well I am 21 weeks along and finally feeling better. Baby Burnett is growing bigger and so is my waistline. The Dr. said the baby is a little big, but no one in the office knows the sex so we will all be surprised on d-day! Everyday he/she kicks and turns all over the place. In a couple more weeks Troy will be able to feel the movements better. I go back this Friday for the glucose test.

More cheer pics

Madeline's Cheerleading

Madeline got the opportunity to cheer at a Keller High football game with the cheerleaders! She was very excited and was upset when it was time to leave. She loved cheering, doing the stunts, and throwing footballs to the crowd after a touchdown. She says she wants to take cheerleading classes so we will probably sign her up after the holidays.

More playoff pics

The Playoff Game

Football is finally over! We had a good season and it was fun, but we are exhausted and ready for a break. We miss our Coach!!! The playoff game was at Cowboy stadium last Thursday and it was fun. We got great seats, got to takes pics on the Cowboy star after the game, and look at the gigantic jumbo tron! The Buffs lost, but we made some memories that night that will never be forgotton. The game didn't start until 9:30 at night, everyone carpooled to save on parking, food/drinks were outrageously priced, and the jumbo tron was larger than life. After the game coaches wives were allowed on the field to visit and take pics and we were all so tired driving home and we had to work the next day!!! Oh well, the playoff atmosphere was a blast and Madeline and I learned just how much we love having Troy around :)

Soccer game

Soccer is finally over and Madeline is so glad! She hated wearing the shin guards and taking the ball from the other team. These are 2 quotes from Madeline, "I don't want to go to the soccer party if I have to wear shin guards." and "I just want the other team to have the ball."

Hmmm....maybe soccer is not for her! Oh well, she looked cute in her uniform, had fun running around, and loved getting a trophy!!! Maybe next year she will change her mind about soccer.

A great dad

So my awesome husband decided to give Madeline her very own soccer field in the backyard so she could practice. She LOVES it!! The white lines don't seem to mean very much to her when she has the ball.....but she's having fun so who cares, right?

Boo at the Zoo

Saturday also marked the trip back to Boo at the Zoo! We LOVE Boo at the Zoo!!! We pay WAY too much for tickets and wait WAY to long in the car just to park...BUT it is always worth it. Madeline gets to wear her expensive costume more than once, we see some cute animals and some cute shows, we all eat too much candy, and we get to enjoy seeing a bunch of other kiddos in their cute costumes!!! The FW zoo does a great job putting on this event and we always have a good time. It is hard to believe next year we will have a 6 month old along for the ride!!!

Madeline's adventures in sports

First she tries soccer. She hates wearing shin guards and HATES taking the ball from other kids. This might not work......she runs her heart out during the games, but refuses to interact with the ball. She did have a breakthrough last week when she actually scored a goal!!!! We will have to see if we will continue with this soccer business.

Next she does cheerleading. She went to a cheer camp this Saturday and had a blast!! She told Troy and I we needed to go wait for her in the car! (excuse me?) She was so cute doing the cheers and the dance. She didn't quite hit the mark with the movements, but she IS only 4 :) The point is she had a great time and she gets to go out on the field at this Friday's football game and cheer with the cheerleaders. Needless to say she is very excited about this and told us we have to wait for the game to see her cheers! (excuse me?)
